OPEN FLOOR READINGS
On the third Tuesday of every month Books and Company hosts the Picton Open Floor Reading Group at 7.30 pm at our location at 280 Main Street, Picton. Bring your own writing: poetry or prose!Or join the audience! Open Floor Readings are approx. 10 minutes each. Often a Guest Reader is featured. Everybody welcome!
Saturday March 13, 2pm You are invited to join Karen Dukes and Jan Davey in celebrating the publication of Karen's first chapbook of poetry, A Recipe for Orphans. There will be conversation and readings, and light refreshments will be available. We look forward to seeing you.

Sunday April 18, 1pm to 3pm The Prince Edward Arts Council in partnership with The County of Prince Edward Public Libraries and Books & Company present The County Reads.
Thursday April 22, 7:30pm The Arthur Ellis Award Short List Event Some of Canada's favourite mystery writers read their accounts of dastardly deeds and discuss the art of taking murder to manuscript followed by the announcement of nominations for the prestigious Arthur Ellis Awards, named in honour of Canada's last hangman.
Meet writers Michael Blair, Rick Blechta, J.D. Carpenter, Vicki Delany, Janet Kellough, Mary Jane Maffini, Violette Malan, and John Moss. A Deadly Time is guaranteed for all!

Enjoy readings with new and established Canadian writers including Marianne Ackerman, Dani Couture, Steven Heighton, Helen Humphreys, Carolyn Smart, Cordelia Strube, Paul Vermeersch and Catherine Gildiner.
